We love visiting Vegas and have our go-to system each time we go that ensures we have the most fun! We eat, have cocktails and always take in a show or concert.
Las Vegas Weekend Getaways
2 nights, always give ourselves one night before the concert (or show).
Day/night 1, we go big. Have all the fun and stay up late. This gives us a day to recover before we see the concert.
Day 2, sleep in, take it easier. Enjoy a nice lunch and chill by the pool or walk around. Have an early dinner, and then head to the concert. Maybe a drink or two, but we prefer to take it easy so that we can fully enjoy (and remember!) the concert we are paying good money for!
Day 3, wake up, eat breakfast (depending on our mood) and head out! Since we didn’t stay up too late or go big the second night we are usually up on the earlier side and feeling great!
Las Vegas Resorts World Hotels
Resorts World in Las Vegas has three hotels, the Hilton, Conrad and Crockfords.
We stayed at the Hilton this time and it was awesome. We have stayed at the Conrad before and loved it but got a great deal at the Hilton and we didn’t find it any less great. Crockfords is the highest category and has it's own areas as perks.
Las Vegas Resorts World Restaurants and Bars
VIP Pool Bar
VIP Pool bar had good cocktails and apps. We tried the Watermelon Cucumber, which was a little sweet for me but tasty. We also had the mahi “tostada” which was delicious but not really a tostada. It was grilled fish on a bed of greens, beans, corn, etc.
There was a liquor infused ice cream bar that we didn’t try but looked awesome.
Bar Zazu
Bar Zazu is a great lounge/bar with a funky décor. We loved it. The espresso martinis are excellent. We had the chickpea hummus which was fantastic. It came with pita bread and veggies for me as a gluten free dipper. Joe loved the pita bread though! The bartender also gave us champagne drinks for our anniversary which was super nice!
Crossroads Kitchen Las Vegas
Crossroads Kitchen was incredible! We have been here a few times and it never disappoints. We had the Blackberry Fields cocktail with aquafaba which was amazing and a spicy margarita.
For dinner we had the peaches and whipped feta, spicy rigatoni vodka with the gluten-free pasta and mushroom “steak”. All were absolutely delicious. The feta didn’t really taste like feta, it was missing the tang, but it was creamy and still great with the peaches.
The “steak” was made with mushrooms and texture wise was a little light and felt more like you were eating a very fatty steak but we knew we weren’t so it was good. The flavor was amazing. The spicy pasta was the best and incredible gluten-free pasta cooked perfectly.
Alle Lounge
Alle Lounge on 66 is a bar on the 66th floor of the Conrad hotel. The views are amazing and the cocktails are great. We had espresso martinis. They bring snacks which is a nice touch, the truffle potato chips were so good.
Dawghouse
Dawghouse is a great country themed bar and restaurant. It’s casual but the food is good. We had a Wedge salad, a Cobb salad and tots. All good. You can add or take away anything to accommodate your dietary needs.
